The Pakistan Railways has changed the schedule and stations of cancelled trains and also restored the Rohi Express. Announcing the schedule here on Saturday, PR Rawalpindi divisional superintendent Ashfaq Khattak said people should contact their nearest stations and offices to make sure their reservations. He said these changes were made to provide better travelling services to general public.

Giving details to newsmen, Ashfaq Khattak said 40 down Jaffer Express plying between Rawalpindi and Quetta will leave for Quetta from Peshawar on February 28 at 5:45am.

This will replace the Abaseen Express and will stop at Nowshera, Attock City, Jehangira and Hassanabdal. The train will leave Rawalpindi at 9am same day for Quetta via Lahore. He said the train would take four hours to reach Lahore from Rawalpindi.

Khattak said that as a result of change of schedule in Jaffer Express people would enjoy the journey of a fastest train. He said Jaffer Express during its journey to Lahore would stop at Jhelum, Gujrat and Gujranwala. The train would consist of lower AC and economy classes.

He said 24 down Quetta Express would leave Rawalpindi on March 10 at 6am in spite of 11am.

He said it was decided that the 11 up Chenab Express will now also stop at Havelian. The timing of 12 down Chenab Express was not changed, while its berths have been increased.

Khattak told reporters that keeping in view the requirement of the people hailing from Attock and Hassanabdal, Pakistan Railways has decided to launch a shuttle train service between Attock and Rawalpindi.

The train would leave Rawalpindi at 3:30pm and after one and a half hour will arrive at Attock. It will leave Attock at 5:30pm.

He said 131 up and 132 down Rohi Express for Khanpur was restored and the train would leave for Khanpur at 3:30pm.
