Oxford University Press (OUP) will launch two of its latest publications, Dilli Ki Khawateen ki Kahawatayn our Muhawaray by Shaista Ikramullah and The Art of the Mussalmans in Spain by Shahid Suhrawardy. In Dilli ki Khawateen, Begum Ikramullah has documented and preserved the peculiar feminine proverbs and idioms of the ladies of Delhi, dating from at least the 19th century, while The Art of the Musalmans in Spain covers in rich detail the influences of Muslim civilisation on the artefacts and architecture of Spain during the period of the Moorish Kingdoms in Spain.

Dr Aslam Farrukhi and Jalaluddin Ahmed will be the speakers at the launch being held at the Beach Luxury Hotel at 5.00 pm on Friday.-PR
