Chicago Board of Trade corn futures climbed to a six-week high by Tuesday's midsession, trying to keep pace with the rally in wheat and soybeans, traders said. May corn shot through its 100-day moving average of $2.14, touching off buy-stops as it climbed, traders said. The March contract was also trading above its 100-day moving average of $2.06-1/2, up 9 cents at $2.09 per bushel by 11:15 am CST (1615 GMT). May corn was 8-3/4 cents higher at $2.16-1/2, with the deferreds up 8-3/4 cents to 1/2 cent.
