Vice-chancellor Punjab University, Arshad on Mahmood Tuesday inaugurated a series of four workshops on 'Information Communication Technology Skills' for librarians here at the Punjab University main library. Speaking on the occasion, he said that libraries are assets of a nation, as these are helpful in producing scholars, scientists and leaders. "If we want to make progress in all fields, we must ensure provision of more funds, new books and better facilities at the libraries", he added.

Chief Librarian, Chaudhry Muhammad Hanif said that the main library at the varsity was well equipped to cater the needs of the students and recent workshops would improve the staff's efficiency.
