Hundreds of illegal projects are being illegally sold in the city due to the dereliction of duty by KBCA chief. In a letter to City Nazim Naimatullah, Sheri--Citizens' for Better Environment' (CBE), a non-government organisation (NGO), has drawn attention to 46 'Public Sale' projects advertised by KBCA over the past 33 months, from April 2002 to January 2005. The letter said that less than one percent projects per month were built for sale in the entire Karachi jurisdiction of KBCA during this period.

But this is not true; about hundreds of apartments and town-house projects have been sold over the past two-and-a-half years by the KBCA chief's tenure and are being constructed/sold even today in various areas like PECHS, Bahadurabad, Garden, Jamshed Quarter, Saddar, Clifton, Nazimabad, N Nazimbad, particularly.

Additionally, hundreds of multi-storied flats have been illegally approved on house/bungalow plots over the past two-and-a-half years by KBCA, in contravention of regulation 25-2.2.2 of KBTPR 2002.

Therefore, KBCA should take necessary action in this regard.
