Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz has said Pakistan and Brunei enjoy identity of views on a wide range of regional and global issues and expressed the confidence that bilateral ties would continue to strengthen in the years ahead. This he stated in a message sent to the Sultan of Brunei, Kebawah Duli Yang Maha Mulia Paduka Seri Baginda, Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah, Sultan Dan Yang Di-Pertuan, Negara Brunei Darussalam on their National Day falling on Wednesday.

"It gives me a great pleasure to extend to Your Majesty, and the brotherly people of Brunei Darussalam, our warm greetings and felicitations, on the occasion of 21st National Day of your beautiful country," the Prime Minister said in a message on Tuesday.
He said Pakistan was happy to know that Brunei Darussalam was making progress in various fields under his sagacious leadership.

"Pakistan and Brunei Darussalam enjoy cordial and co-operative ties, based on bonds of religion, history and culture. Our two countries also have an identity of views on a wide range of regional and global issues," the Prime Minister said.

He expressed the confidence that the close fraternal relations existing between the two brotherly countries will be further strengthened in the years ahead.

"I take this opportunity to express my best wishes for your Majesty's personal well being and for the continued progress and prosperity of the people of Brunei Darussalam," he added.
