President, Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry (WCCI) Samina Fazil has called upon government to take business community into confidence during preparations of budget for fiscal year 2005-2006. "Proper consultation with business community would help government in making a business friendly budget which would gain public support", Samina Fazil said while talking to reporters.

Government has started preparations for next year's budget and it is imperative on part of government to make sure that business community should be given incentives, Samina Fazil said adding that business friendly atmosphere and easy taxation system would help enhance the economic stability in the country.

WCCI is aimed to guide women entrepreneurs and help them to establish small and medium enterprises for their economic empowerment, she said adding, "President Musharraf is advocating the economic empowerment of women pleading that it would help country to gain heights of economic stability. But this would not be materialised till incentives would be given to them".

"Present government under the dynamic leadership of President Musharraf is playing an important role in empowerment of women on all levels with special stress on economic empowerment", she said adding that women are half of the total population of Pakistan and goals of development economic stability would never attained until active involvement of women is not assured.

She said that with the establishment of chamber, women entrepreneurs would have lot of opportunities and they would feel comfortable in establishing their businesses and financial matters. She said that chamber would give proper training to business entrepreneurs and make a strategy for introducing the products of the women industrialists on international level.

She called upon government to make sure a decrease in the utility charges in order to decrease the production cost of the industrial sector. "Cost of business is very high in Pakistan, which is making business difficult and making products unable to compete in international market", she added.
