The Alexandria Cotton Exporters' Association (Alcotexa) said that on Monday it had committed to sell 2,184 tonnes of cotton in the week ended February 19. Alcotexa said it had committed to sell 384 tonnes of Giza 70 and 1,800 tonnes of Giza 86. The new commitments bring Alcotexa's export commitments for the year started August 14 to 111,580.5 tonnes of cotton worth $205.6 million, the Alcotexa figures showed.
