The main objective of the workshop was to introduce the new teaching and learning system of the medical education to bring reforms in the medical education system, which will bring revolutionary changes in the development of the existing faculties and also provide a better atmosphere to the medical students.
The workshop will also help in creating awareness about the international medical education system and guide as well as assist the faculty and students in developing and adopting an efficient curriculum, which can effectively address the health care needs of the suffering humanity.
Senior members of the faculties of HMC, KMC, LRH, KCD, and KTH also presented their papers in the workshop highlighting aims and objectives as well as targets of the workshop.
The participants expressed gratitude to Professor Dr Siraj for arranging such a meaningful workshop.
Speaking on the occasion, Professor Dr Sultan Mahmood, director, Medical Faculty of Education KMC, called for urgent reforms in the medical education system to bring it at a par with the global demands.
Earlier, Professor Byle Frank and Madam Katherine Orr briefed the participants with the help of slides and maps on the initiatives so far necessary in the health sector in achieving the advanced technology.
Later, KMC Principal Dr Fazal Ahmed thanked the participants of the workshop.
The workshop will continue till February 24. The heart specialists attending the workshop would also frame some recommendations.
