The Central Board of Revenue (CBR) has referred to National Tariff Commission (NTC) for examining the matter relating to enhancement of customs duty on crude palm oil, arising on the request of Pakistan Vanaspati Manufacturers Association, statement issued here on Monday said. The NTC has invited views, suggestions and proposals from all parties having interest in the business relating to or associated with the imports, refining, processing, manufacturing and marketing of oilseeds or edible oils including user industries such as of oleo chemicals, soaps, detergents etc.

The views/suggestions may be sent within three days to the Secretary NTC, 4th floor, State Life Building 5, Blue Area, Islamabad.

A public hearing is scheduled to be held on March 30 (Thursday) at 11:00 am in the Conference Room of the NTC.

All interested parties may attend this hearing and bring their comments and suggestions in writing.
