Mrs Shahida Faisal Hayat is the wife of Makhdoom Syed Saleh Faisal Hayat who holds the portfolios of Kashmir and Northern Areas in the current government.
The court orders came after Abdul Hafeez Pirzada representing Shahida Faisal Hayat and Baseer Qureshi, Counsel for the National Accountability Bureau told the judges about the compromise formula and its approval by the NAB committee.
The joint statement could not be filed on Monday for want of time and the parties will now submit it before the first bench when hearing would resume on Tuesday morning.
The amount involved is in the neighbourhood of Rs 400 million that was advanced to Shah Jewna Textile Mills owned by Saleh Faisal Hayat's family.
The first bench composed of Chief Justice Nazim Hussain Siddiqui, Justice Javed Iqbal and Justice Abdul Hamid Dogar.
In observations that followed the brief statement by Baseer Qureshi, the Counsel for NAB, Justice Javed Iqbal expressed his displeasure saying that the judges had been going over nearly 300 pages of the record of the case for last two nights and now the NAB suddenly wanted to withdraw the case.
Justice Abdul Hamid Dogar wanted to know the NAB counsel as to why the Court was not informed of the decision for the withdrawal of the reference earlier.
After the orders of the Chief Justice that the parties should file a written statement in this connection, the case was carried forward for hearing on Tuesday morning.
Meanwhile a similar case of compromise involving Malik Ghulam Muhammad Murtaza Khar was adjourned for a month by the same bench. Muhammad Akram Sheikh had represented Murtaza Khar.
