People in Karachi have heaved a sigh of relief over the peaceful completion of the Ashura rites, reports UPP correspondent. Many leading personalities as also several members of the Consular Corps have conveyed their appreciation to the Sindh Governor, Chief Minister and Home Minister for having supervised very well the 'Ashura' proceedings and ensuring peace in the city and province.

Meanwhile, the Sindh Governor, Chief Minister and Home Minister have conveyed their appreciation to the Sindh and Karachi City Police Chiefs and officers for making all this possible. However, the vigilance during the first ten days of Muharram is being continued as a precaution by the security agencies, according to official sources.
