Pakistan and Russia on Monday agreed to increase the volume of trade especially in the field of agriculture sector. This was decided in a call on meeting of Federal Minister for Food, Agriculture and Livestock, Sikandar Hayat Khan Bosan with Russian Ambassador, Sergey N. Paskov. The Russian ambassador offered to provide Pakistan bulldozers, tractors, fertiliser and wheat in addition to build storage for preserving grain.

"Pakistan would facilitate Russia if it sets up manufacturing plants of tractors to overcome the shortage of tractors in Pakistan and also fertiliser plants. We are already importing 90 percent fertiliser to meet our agricultural requirements", the minister said.
