Talking to APP here late Friday, Sultan called upon Britain to fulfil its responsibility by helping resolve its left over legacy in form of the pestering issue of Kashmir. The Muslim friends of Labour should play its role in this regard, he added.
Those present on the occasion were British juniors Ministers Jack McConnell, Anne McGuire, MP Khalid Mehmood, Chairperson All Party Pakistan Parliamentary Group Lona Fitz Simmons, Prospective Parliamentary Candidate from Dewsbury Shahid Malik and others.
Sultan said Britain was a multi-cultural, multi-religious society therefore the newly launched group should play their requisite role in creating tolerance and harmony amongst various communities.
He flew to Glasgow after visiting Belgium, Holland to lobby with European MPs over Kashmir.
During his stay in Hague, Sultan called on the Director General of Foreign Office of Holland Miders and its Director Louis Belger and briefed them on Kashmir. He urged them to play their role in the European Parliament to promote the just cause of Kashmiris.
