Ministry of Tourism has decided to construct Aiwan-e-Siyahat in Islamabad while all the Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) motels will be computerised across the country. A meeting held in the ministry of tourism, Secretary Tourism Salim Gul Sheikh in the chair, decided to set up Aiwan-e-Siyahat in Islamabad, which will function as PTDC head office, and provide latest information to the tourists through computer networking connecting all the PTDC motels.

This networking system in the motels will also help in electronic booking of the motels anywhere in the country.

It is also stated that a plot measuring 24 kanals has been acquired for the construction of PTDC motel at Muzaffarabad Azad Kashmir.

It was told the government of Punjab was interested to have a motel in Nankana Sahib, which is less than two hours' drive from Wagha Border, to attract substantial number of Yatris from India and other parts of the world. It was also learnt the government of Sindh has initiated programme for making Gorakh Hill accessible by providing road and other facilities.
