Youm-e-Ashur will be observed with reverence and solemnity on Sunday across the country to commemorate the supreme sacrifice of Hazrat Hussain (RA) for upholding the universal principles of justice and truth. Special prayers will be offered in mosques and imambargahs after Fajr prayers. Tazia, Alam and Zuljinah processions will be taken out in all cities and towns that after passing through their traditional routes will terminate at main imambargahs.

Police and law-enforcing agencies have made elaborate security arrangements for the day.

A number of medical aid camps will be set up along the routes of the processions by the private social welfare organisations. Sabeels of water and sherbat will also be set up.

Zakirs, naatkhwans and religious scholars will highlight the supreme sacrifice of Hazrat Hussain (RS) and his companions.

In Islamabad, the main procession of Alam and Zuljinah will be taken out from Markazi Imambargah, G-6/2.

In Rawalpindi, it will be taken out from Imambargah Colonel Maqbool Hussain, College Road and Imambargah Hifazat Ali Shah, Bohar Bazar.
