An eminent scholar, Dr Asrar Ahmed, was the first PW, who delivered a thought provoking lecture on the current situation, which is being faced by the Muslim countries.
"The Muslim Ummah is passing through a crucial phase and is facing great challenges and urged all the Muslims to implement the philosophy of the Holy Quran in letter and spirit".
He delivered his speech on "Obligation of the Quran on the Muslims" at the launching ceremony of the KPF.
"The Holy Quran has given a lifetime guidance to the mankind; the Shariah forbids humanity from evil.
It is a duty of each and every Muslim to develop real faith and true conviction (or Iman) in the teachings of the Quran as explained to us by Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
Moreover, we cannot even think about the revival of the Muslim Ummah and the Renaissance of Islam without inculcating the true concept of our Divinely ordained obligations in a significant portion of the Ummah.
The Holy Quran conveys the message of Allah to the mankind but unfortunately, we, as Muslims, instead of learning a lesson from our holy book, seek guidance from other sources.
We take care of our body but ignore the requirements of the spirit. There is a dire need of studying the life of our Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW). The world is rapidly heading towards a great disaster.
Though, Islam is no threat to any religion, non-Muslims are working according to a specific agenda against the Muslim world".
Discussing the present war-like situation in the area, he said it is not the holy war and they are not fighting for Islam but Muslim nations are fighting for their survival and independence and they should do so. If any nation has no other way out, then suicidal attacks to fight for independence would be fully justified. The war in Afghanistan was not for Islam, when it was attacked by the erstwhile Soviet Union, they were rather struggling for their survival.
The lecture was followed by an answer-question session. And at last the KPF vowed to work for the strengthening of Pakistan. The Forum is highlighting issues confronting the country and would find out the best possible solutions.
