The sacked Sindh revenue minister, Imtiaz Shaikh has said that the charges of corruption levelled against him be inquired into through the Prime Minister's Inspection Team. He was addressing a press conference along with his brother and former Food Minister, Maqbool Shaikh at his Defence Society residence on Friday evening. The PML leaders and workers were also present on the occasion but none of the ministers or MPAs.

"I will fight my case at the party forum," Imtiaz Shaikh said and reiterated his affiliation with the PML. He also levelled counter charges.

Imtiaz told a questioner that he was in contact with the party president Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, adding he will fully abide by the decision of the party.

He said that inquiry into his matter be conducted through the Federal Inquiry Committee and whatever be the decision, it will be acceptable to him.

Imtiaz said as far as the allotment of land in Karachi is concerned, it has nothing to do with his department. It is a matter of the City government.
