The ongoing row between Karachi Electric Supply Corporation (KESC) and Karachi Water and Sewerage Board (KWSB) came to an end on Friday when senior army authorities directed water board to settle dues while KESC was asked to restore power supply. According to KESC, power supply was immediately restored to KWSB offices while Sindh government made a payment of Rs 100 million to KESC as dues against KWSB.

However, KESC said that after 10th of Muharram, the Principal Secretary to Governor Sindh, Brigadier Akhtar Zamin (Retd) would help resolve the issue of outstanding dues in the light of decision taken at a meeting in Governor House in December 2004.
