Heir to the British throne Prince Charles and fiancee Camilla Parker Bowles have dropped Windsor Castle as their April wedding venue and have opted for Windsor's town hall instead, his office said on Thursday. It was decided that licensing the royal palace for a civil wedding would cause too much disruption, and Windsor's Guildhall would allow the public to see the newlyweds arrive and leave, said Clarence House, Charles' office.

Parker Bowles has chosen London-based fashion company Robinson Valentine to design her outfit for the April 8 wedding, and top society milliner Philip Treacy to design her hat, the office added.
