President of Tribal Area Chamber of Commerce & Industry (TACCI) Haji Ghulam Ali has welcome the decision of NWFP government for holding investment conference in the province, saying that the conference would help generate investment opportunities. Addressing a meeting of the executive committee members of the TACCI, he paid tributes to NWFP Minister for Industries and Minerals, Malik Zafar Azam for introducing amendments in the mineral laws of the province.

He said that the step would not only open the avenues of investment in NWFP in general and Fata and Malakand Division in particular besides generating employment opportunities in the area.

The meeting demanded of the federal government to announce tax relaxation in tribal areas and Malakand Division to eliminate backwardness and poverty from that part of the country.

The meeting also constituted a four members committee headed by President, TACCI, Haji Ghulam Ali while other members are Muhammad Shoaib, Tehmash Khan and Shahid Rehman. The committee would hold a meeting with NWFP Minister for Industries and Minerals Malik Zafar Azam and would present recommendations regarding investment in the mineral sector of the province.
