The government has notified February 19 and 20 (Saturday and Sunday) being 9th and 10th Moharram-ul-Haram as closed holidays on the occasion of Ashura. "In pursuance of the announcement of the Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, it is notified for public information that 19th and 20th of February, 2005 (Saturday and Sunday) being 9th and 10th of Moharram-ul-Haram will be closed holidays on the occasion of Ashura", said a press release.
