The development work in the educational institutions of Rawalpindi district is in progress and after completion of these projects, people would enjoy better education facilities, said Tariq Kiani, District Nazim here on Monday. "Punjab is leading country in literacy rate while Rawalpindi is on top of the list in enrolment of the children in schools", Kiani said while addressing a declamation contest in Women Postgraduate College Satellite Town.

Proper facilitation of the government educational institutions for the sake of quality education, Kiani said adding that government is taking measures to make all the educational institutions model institutions and a source of inspiration for remaining country.

"We are well aware of the importance of the education for development and socio economic upliftment of the country," Kiani said adding that is why government making all out efforts for the promotion of the education and enhancing the quality.

Nazim praised the role of women's college and said as a result of the efforts made by college administration, teaching staff and students of this college has earned a good name in the country. "The students of this college are being considered as role model", he added.

He assured that construction of physical block in the college would be completed within this year while the construction work for establishment of bio-lab will also be taken into hand in April this year.
