The Oil & Gas Development Company Ltd, (OGDC) has discovered a gas well near Hyderabad. According to a notification issued by the company to KSE, OGDC has encountered gas and condensate in its exploratory well, Pasakhi Deep. no 1. The well is located at a distance of 30 kilometers north-east of Hyderabad city and 7 kilometers south-east of Tando Jam. Pasakhi Deep structure was delineated in Pasakhi M.L. Licence area (100 percent owned by OGDC), drilled and tested by OGDC with in-house expertise.

The well was drilled down to the depth of 4160 meters. During the initial testing, the well has flowed 150 barrels of condensate per day and about 15 million cubic feet of gas per day through half-inch choke size, while the well head pressure was recorded as 3155psi.
