US stocks slid on Thursday, weighed down by a report that showed US productivity growth slowed in the fourth quarter, while a sharp fall in online retailer Amazon.com Inc's shares dragged on the Nasdaq. The Dow Jones industrial average was down 16.62 points, or 0.16 percent, at 10,580.17. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index was down 4.58 points, or 0.38 percent, at 1,188.61.
The Nasdaq Composite Index was down 19.20 points, or 0.93 percent, at 2,055.86.
