There were many opportunities available for young qualified accountants, both on temporary secondments and permanent position, at the Ernst and Young (E&Y), UK, said UK Audit and UK Area HR Director Dave Bradly,. Speaking to ACCA members and students at a local hotel, he said that the E&Y was the second largest professional services firm globally and, therefore, it offered very lucrative opportunities and good career benefits of gaining international exposure with a large firm having global presence.

He further emphasised that the E&Y was looking at an international pool of qualified accountants to supplement their need in the UK offices. Senior partner Ahmed Patel and partner Aqueel Merchant of Ford Rhodes Sidat Hyder & Company were also present on the occasion.

The ACCA is the largest and fastest-growing international accountancy body in the world, with over 320,000 students and members in 160 countries.

Its unrivalled access to companies, governments, regulators and practitioners across the world, giving it a unique predictive on the needs of modern accounting and financial management.
