As many as 2,790 sales tax refund cases amounting to Rs 440,794,121 had been settled during past two months by the collectorate of sales tax. Official sources told Business Recorder here on Thursday night that adequate step had been taken for expediting the pace of settlement of pending sales tax cases and the department was issuing daily 100 cheques of refund claims to the business community of Sialkot.

Meanwhile, Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) has directed the member that they should inform chamber about their pending sales tax refund cases for the speedy clearance of their refund claims.
