Justice Wahid Bux Brohi will be remembered as a very honest judge, who always gave patient hearing to the advocates and litigants irrespective of their standing or status. This view was shared by all the speakers at a full court reference held on the eve of retirement of Justice Wahid Bux Brohi, who lay his robes on February 4 after serving judiciary in different capacities for 27 long years.

Chief Justice Saiyed Saeed Ashhad in his speech said that the bar was all applause for Justice Wahid Bux Brohi, who always allowed counsel and litigants to plead their case to the fullest extent.

Akhtar Hussain, President of Sindh High Court Bar Association (SHCBA), paying rich tributes to Justice Wahid Bux Brohi said, "he is honest to the core, conscientious to his duties with integrity beyond doubt."

He said that Justice Brohi authored many historic judgements and one on hijacking (PIA plane hijacking case) in which hijacking was defined speaks of judicial acumen possessed by Justice Brohi.

He also called for filling the vacant seats of judges of SHC for the benefit of people.

Justice Wahid Bux Brohi in his speech thanked the speakers. He said that both the judiciary and counsel are blamed for the adjournment of hearings and piling up of cases but in fact it were the actions taken by the officials of federal and provincial governments, which force people to enter into litigation.

The others who addressed the full court reference include Deputy Attorney General for Pakistan Nadeem Azhar Siddiqui, Additional Advocate General Sindh Sarwar Khan, President Karachi Bar Association Mehmood-ul-Hasan and Vice Chairman PBC Abrar-ul-Hasan.
