Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJ&K) Chief Justice Chaudhry Riaz Akhtar has said that procedure has been simplified in AJ&K for approaching the law courts for justice. While addressing the members of the Lahore High Court Bar Association (LHCBA) here on Wednesday, he said any state with no justice, had the situation like a jungle and the state people did not have love with their motherland.

He said people of sub-continent got independence from India for peace and justice; hence it was our duty to provide them justice and peaceful atmosphere.

He said AJ&K government was trying its best to provide cheap and speedy justice to the people, adding the AJ&K courts in that regard were disposing of cases within 30 to 40 days.

He said people in AJ&K could approach him directly for redressal of their grievances, and added they had also established a monitoring cell to watch the progress and efficiency of the lower judiciary.

He asked the bar members to play their role for provision of speedy justice.

Later, he visited the bar rooms and met the bar members individually.
