Pakistan strictly adheres to the principles of non-intervention and non-interference in the internal affairs of Nepal and would continue to support unity, sovereignty, territorial integrity and political independence of the Kingdom of Nepal. These views were expressed by the Prime Minister, Shaukat Aziz during telephone conversation with King Gyanendra Bir Bikram Shah Dev of Nepal here on Thursday.

The Prime Minister expressed the hope that King Gyanendra and the people of Nepal would be able to overcome the challenges.

Matters relating to the holding of the 13th Saarc summit as well as Pakistan-Nepal relations were also discussed.

King Gyanendra shared disappointment over the postponement of the Saarc summit with Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz and expressed confidence to set up new dates for the summit.
