Peoples Labour Bureau Pakistan has strongly reacted to recent increase in petroleum products and termed it as an indicator of failure of economic policies of the government. In a statement on Wednesday Secretary General of All Pakistan Trade Unions Organisation S. P. Lodhi, Central Coordinator of Peoples Labour Bureau Pakistan Habibuddin Junaidee and Secretary General of National Trade Unions Federation of Pakistan Salim Raza have said that the recent increase in petrol prices was uncalled for.
They said that it pushed prices up and made daily use articles expensive.
They said that about 98 percent population was living on subsistence level and the increase in petroleum products was enough to put them under financial hardship.
They have demanded of the government to withdraw the increase and further rationalise prices downward.
