Chinese Consul General Sun Chunye was the chief guest at the dinner, which was also attended by Consul Generals of Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Republic of Korea.
Mangrani said leading businessmen from Hong Kong were being invited to the launching of the forum.
Speaking on the occasion, Mangrani said that at present Pakistan's exports to Hongkong stood at 582 million dollars, which was only 0.25 percent of the total exports of Hongkong worth 232 billion dollars. He said the Pakistan exports could be enhance by exchange of trade delegations for active contacts and on-the-spot studies of Pakistan-Hongkong markets.
He said the PHBF was actively working to make fast track arrangements for getting visas for bona fide Pakistani businessmen travelling to Hongkong.
PHS Chairman Mushtaq Ahmed, in his welcome address, spoke about various activities of the society undertaken in the past.
He also informed the guest about the details of the PHBF, which was officially launched in Hongkong in October 2004 under the leadership of a prominent businessman and PHBF President Happy Minwala.
In October 2004, the PHBF singed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Hongkong General Chamber of Commerce in presence of Pakistan Consul General in Hongkong Tariq Chuk.
Later, the PHS and PHBF members made generous donations for Tsunami victims.
