Islamabad Police have arrested a proclaimed offender (PO) wanted in 25 serious nature of crimes from Shahzad Town area on Wednesday. According to details, Shahzad Town Police late Tuesday night got an information on telephone that accused is hiding in Charah area of Dhok Kalian after which police constituted a raiding party to nab the proclaimed offender.

The accused, Mohammad Zaheer has been wanted to Kotli Satian, Muree, Sihala, Bara Kahu and Shahzad Town police stations in 25 heinous crimes for which Rawalpindi Police had announced Rs 0.5 million head money to arrest him.

When he (PO) saw police coming towards the site where he holed up, the accused along with his accomplices started firing from Klashinkove on the raiding party.

The police also resorted retaliatory firing, reached his hideout and arrested the PO, who sustained severe injuries on his different party of the body during exchange of heavy firing.

IGP and SSP Islamabad have announced cash prizes and certificates for the SHO Shahzad Town Arif Hussain and other members of the raiding party for doing tremendous efforts to arrest the most wanted man.
