Countrywide wheel jam strike will be observed by transporter organisation in reaction of the increase of POL prices. In this regard a meeting of transporter has been called on February 4 which will finally decide the date of the strike. President Karachi Transport Ittehad (KTI), Irshad Bukhari told NNI that the transport association will not accept this rise as they already burdened with previous increased diesel prices.

The Oil Company Advisory Committee increased prices of motor spirit to Rs 42.39, HOBC Rs 47.32, Kerosene oil Rs 27.04 and diesel Rs 27.16 on Tuesday.

The transporter said that this was the third time in two months that the prices of the petroleum products and diesel were increased by Rs 2.78. Bokhari said even the previous rates were unjustified, how can they accept the recent price hike.
