The Karachi Port handled 47,858 tonnes of cargo including 27,989 tonnes import and 19,869 tonnes export inclusive of 1,942 containers, during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Tuesday. The cargo comprised of 37,512 tonnes dry cargo including 28,817 tonnes general cargo; 8,695 tonnes bulk cargo and 10,346 tonnes oil/liquid cargo. Eight ships namely M T Shalamar, Bow West, Iron Butterfly, Aviona, Corinthiakos, Super Challanger, Rubens and Bunga Terasak sailed out to sea during the report period.

Seven vessels viz Bunga Terasak, S. Caboto, Iron Butterfly, Chem Lily, Sun Diamond, Golden Gion and Asian Trader are currently at the berths.

Two ships namely Sun Diamond and Orionis expected to sail on Tuesday, while three vessels viz Asian Trader, Oranje and Tai He are expected to sail on Wednesday.

Three vessels viz Tai He, Madre and Sinar Bontang due to arrive on Tuesday, while three ships namely Iran Baabad, Hyundai Future and YM Star are due to arrive on Wednesday.

PORT QASIM
A total cargo volume of 56,784 tonnes comprising 43,881 tonnes import and 12,903 tonnes export inclusive of containerised cargo carried in 1,610 containers, was handled during last 24 hours ending at 0800 hours on Tuesday.

The cargo comprised of 10,752 tonnes edible oil; 4,528 tonnes wheat; 14,134 tonnes iron ore and 27,370 tonnes containerised cargo.

Two ships namely MV Min Noble and CV Maersk Alaska are expected to sail on Tuesday.

A total of three vessels viz Chemstar Brave, E. Trader and Sinar Sabang are currently at the outer anchorage.

Three ships namely Bunga Kelana, E. Trader and Sinar Sabang due to take berths on Tuesday.

Three vessels viz CV CMA CGM Nilgai, Oranje and MT Wilmington with containers and crude oil due to arrive on Wednesday, while another ship MV Samadu is due to arrive on the same day to load rice.
