Rising trend persisted in the grain market on Tuesday as sugar maintained upward trend on short supply position, dealers said. On the cereals side, sugar inferior type picked up Rs 50 to Rs 2470 while superior type did not show any change at Rs 3435. Gur prices followed suit as inferior type gained Rs 50 to Rs 1950 and the best type remained unchanged at Rs 2300. Other commodities maintained their overnight levels in low activity.

On the seed side, rapeseed Nawabshah quoted at Rs 770-775. Cottonseed oilcake shed Rs eight for both types at Rs 407-412, respectively.
