A law is being formulated by the government of Punjab binding everyone to plant trees in front of his/her house in all cities of the province. Notwithstanding its practicability aspect, the irony is that a government, which has uprooted hundreds of thousands of trees in Lahore alone during the last few years, proposes this enactment.
