At least two dozen members of the Managing Committee (MC) of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) belonging to Businessmen Forum (BF) have refused to accept the legality of the holding of the first emergency meeting of the managing committee. The meeting was held at the Federation House here on December 31. In separate letters delivered to the Secretary General FPCCI before the start of the meeting, they said that the holding of the meeting "is in clear violation of the Articles of Association of FPCCI."
Strongly lodging their protest, they said that they reserved their legal right to question the legality of this meeting in the court of law.
Those who have submitted their letters include Senator Ilyas Bilour, Amanullah Mohammad, Sardar M. Ashraf Khan, Usman Bashir Bilour, Captain A. Rashid Abro, Engr. Daroo Khan, Muhammad Waseem, M. Zubair Motiwala, Agha Syed Liaquat Ali, Munawwar A.Sheikh, Fazal Kadir Sherani, and Haji Rasool Baksh.
