An amount of Rs 150 million each out of Rs 500 million has been spent during last and the current financial years for the promotion of education in Sargodha district. Member National Assembly (MNA) Tanzeela Aamer Cheema PML (Q) said this on Tuesday while addressing the students, staff and elite of the women community at the inauguration of Meena Bazar organised by Hilal-e-Ahmer at Bhagtanwala town at government girls higher secondary school.

She said Rs 200 million would also be provided for education reforms in the next financial year.

She said boys and girls inter-colleges have been up-graded to the level of degree colleges by the Punjab Chief Minister.

Tanzeela Aamer said work regarding the provision of Sui (natural) gas to Bhagtanwala town and adjoining villages was currently in progress.

The legislator promised to help remove the shortage of teaching staff, establishment of computer centre, setting up of Library, provision of furniture, construction of conference hall and installation of tube-well in the girls college.

She distributed prizes to the best stalls and also donated Rs 25,000 cash for the welfare fund of the college.

The College Principal Farah Sajjad presented the welcome address and eulogised the efforts of MNA Chaudhry Anwer Ali Cheema for the uplift of this backward and neglected area.
