The Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal (MMA) has said India intends to destroy the irrigation system of Pakistan by constructing Baglihar dam. Addressing a press conference, MNA Mian Mohammad Aslam said on Monday that India is taking undue advantage of the flexibility shown by Pakistan to resolve all disputes through dialogue. He was of the view that without resolving the Kashmir dispute, Pakistan could not improve socio-economic and cultural relations with India.

Mian Aslam, who is also the Naib Amir of Jamaat-i-Islami, announced that the MMA will start a five-day countrywide campaign, starting from February 2, to demonstrate solidarity with the Kashmiri people.

He said Kashmir is jugular vein of Pakistan, which could not be ignored and sidelined when there was a talk with India.

Criticising the government policy on Kashmir, he said by showing unnecessary flexibility rulers are compromising on more than 80 thousands lives of Kashmiri martyrs.

Talking about the campaign schedule, he said on February 1, Kashmir camps would be set up all across the country, including 13 camps in the federal capital, to instigate people for Jihad

During the five-day campaign, all senior leaders of the MMA including Qazi Hussain Ahmad, Maulana Fazlur Rehman, Sajid Naqvi, Ghafoor Haidri and Professor Sajid Mir would lead and address rallies in different places.

He further said a motorcycle rally would be held on February 3 which would start from Melody and to be culminated at Karachi Company, adding through the motor rally youth would be given the message for Jihad.

A seminar would also be held on February 4 on Kashmir, which would be addressed by MMA senior leaders, he maintained.
