China, a net importer of nickel, exported 50 percent more refined nickel to 14,112 tonnes in the first 11 months this year, boosted by high international prices.
A MOF official said on Wednesday Beijing would cut the tax on imports of nickel and nickel raw materials to one pre cent from three percent, also from January 1, to support its stainless steel industry, which uses the metal as an anti-corrosive additive.
