The Canadian dollar was flat on Thursday after Canada reported a suspected case of mad cow disease. The Canadian Food Inspection Agency said the animal, a 10-year-old dairy cow, had not entered the human or animal feed system. Final results of tests on the cow would be ready in three to five days, it said.

The Canadian dollar was at C$1.2102 to the US dollar, or 82.63 US cents, barely changed from C$1.2104 to the US dollar, or 82.62 US cents, at Wednesday's close.
