Heavy rain continued lashing provincial metropolis and its adjoining areas on Friday morning, slightly disrupting the passengers schedule and making the weather chilly. According to Met office, a total of 11 millimeter of rain was received in Peshawar valley and weather will remain hazy cloudy with chances of thunder storm and more rain.

The rain started in early hour of Friday mourning and continued intermittently till 15:00 pm and further chance of rain with thunderstorm in next 48 hours.

The sky remained covered with thick clouds through out the late Thursday night and weather became chilly, forcing the people to remain in door and wear additional warm cloths.

According to Pakistan Railway enquiry office, the Lahore passenger train which should reach Peshawar on 13:30 pm has become late for two hours and it would be reached at 15 30 pm due to continue rain.

Similarly, Awami Express was also becoming late for an hour to depart from Karachi to Peshawar. The Abaseen Express Rawalpindi- Peshawar schedule was also disrupted, PR official added.

In most of the city localities, streets were inundated with rain water, creating problems for pedestrians.

According to PIA flight inquiry, the flights remained undisrupted with the rain and all the domestic and international flights departed and arrived here in time. The rain has dropped temperature from 15 degree Celsius to 12 degree Celsius, Met official added.
