Honorary Consul of Sri Lanka Pervez Hanif has expressed grief and sorrow over the natural catastrophe in Sri Lanka, which has left more than 25,000 people dead and many other injured as well as homeless. In a press release issued here on Friday, the former LCCI president said that the Pakistani people have sympathy with those losing their loved ones and they equally feel grieved. Pakistan government has already sent relief goods to Sri Lanka.

He also announced to establish a collection centre where donation in the shape of cash, medicines and clothing for the Sri Lankan disaster victims could be deposited at 259, Riwaz Garden, Lahore, telephone 7351313 and 7245872, or to be sent directly to the Sri Lankan Embassy 2-C, Street No 55, F-6/4, PO Box 1947, Islamabad, telephone 2828735.-PR
