Punjab government has approved a scheme for collection of data of industrial units in the province. Official sources told Business Recorder here on Friday that the Directorate of Industries is executing the survey of the industrial units physically by visiting the industrial units in various parts of the province. The survey will cover medium and large-scale industries besides the selected small industrial units of the province.

The step has been taken for collecting accurate and authentic statistics of industrial sector for preparing future industrial planning for its development and advancement in the province.

The Industries Directorate, after completion of the survey, will publish "Industrial Directory".

The directorate has underscored the need of co-operation and support of the business community for the successful completion of the industrial survey in the province.

The due support of industrialists would enable the directorate to collect quality data with required speed and its prompt completion, sources added.
