A meeting of fertiliser committee was held here on Thursday to review fertiliser situation in the country. Federal Industries and Production Minister Jehangir Khan Tareen presided over the meeting, an official handout said. The meeting reviewed the position availability of urea and other fertilisers in the country with particular reference to the need for next Rabi season.

The manufacturers of urea were invited to give presentation about the production capacity and gas requirements.

The participants of the meeting were informed about the area to be available for cultivation of wheat and other Rabi crops.

Federal Food, Agriculture and Livestock Minister Sikander Hayat Bosan, Minfal Minister of State Muhammad Ali Malkani, Industries Ministry Parliamentary Secretary Javed Shah, federal secretaries of Industries and Production Ministry and Minfal, stakeholders of fertilisers, manufacturers and senior officers of both the ministries were present during the meeting.
