Troubled regional airline Gulf Air signed on Monday a $65 million syndicated loan to help it renovate its fleet and information technology infrastructure.

Standard Chartered Bank in Manama is the lead arranger of the three-year loan which carries an interest of 1 percent over London Interbank Offered Rate (LIBOR).

Other lenders include Ahli United Bank, Al Ahli Bank of Kuwait, Bank Muscat, National Bank of Oman, Persia International Bank and Samba Financial Group.
