As many as 41,650 candidates were declared successful out of 128,832 candidates appeared in the first annual B.A/B.Sc. Examination 2004 from the Punjab University showing 32.33 as pass percentage.

Out of 41,650 successful candidates 7,350 secured first division, 30,914 obtained second division while 2480 were placed in third division.

In the B.A examination, 4888 female candidates secured first division as compared to 1,025 male candidates while 1040 female students bagged first division against 397 of male students in B.Sc.

Likewise 19,704 female candidates secured second division in B.A examination against 7356 of male candidates while 2158 female students obtained second division as compared to 1696 of male candidates in B.Sc.

The female candidates have bagged all the three top positions in B.Sc. Ayesha Hameed Roll Number 051372 of Government Kinnaird College for Women Lahore secured 678/800 marks and was able to secure first position. Afshan Hannan Mirza Roll No 052325 of Government College for Women Samanabad stood second with 672 marks while Sadia Zubair Roll No 030906 of Government College for Women Margazar Colony Gujrat obtained 658 marks and stood third.

In B.A examination, Maryah Riaz Roll No 048276 of F.G. Degree College for Women, Kharian Cantt. stood first with 634/800 marks. Those who secured second and third positions were private students. Riffat un Nisa, Roll No 085126 of Mandi Bahauddin District and Awais Aslam Mustafa Kamal Pasha Roll No 082385 of Narowal District obtained 625 and 618 marks and were placed in second and third positions, respectively.

The Punjab University has awarded a cash prize of Rs 75,000 each to first position holders in B.A and B.Sc. examination, Rs 65,000 each and Rs 50,000 each to second and third position holders in B.A and B.Sc. examination, respectively.
