The World Bank will provide assistance and funds for the monitoring system being introduced in the educational institutions of the province.

Sindh Minister for Education and Literacy Dr Hameeda Khuhro has said this while answering the queries of newsmen at Circuit House here, after her meeting with the District government officials on Sunday.

Dr Hameeda said a task force was being formed to deal with the problem of ghost teachers and habitual absentees, and reiterated that technical education must be accorded importance to meet the challenge of modern times.

About Sindh Text Book Board, she said the efforts were afoot that textbooks should be published on time. She further said that the closed schools would be made functional by arranging teachers.
