The sources have confirmed the names of 'heavyweights' like Rao Sikander Iqbal, Syed Faisal Saleh Hayat, Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao, Khurshid Mahmood Kasuri, Zobaida Jalal, Awais Leghari, Naseer Khan, Ejazul Haq, Babar Ghauri, Safwanullah, Ghazi Ghulab Jamal, Humayun Akhtar, and Sheikh Rashid for the cabinet.
Zahid Hamid, MNA from Narowal, Ali Nawaz Mehar, Pir Abdul Qadir Jilani; a relative of Chief Minister Balochistan Jam Yusuf, Dr Sher Afgan, Daniyal Aziz, Salim Jan Mazari and Jehangir Tareen are also strong contenders.
According to the sources, two high profile ladies, Sumaira Malik, granddaughter of Nawab Amir Mohammad Khan of Kalabagh and niece of Sardar Farooq Leghari, and Hina Rabbani of the Khar family are most likely to get the ministerial posts.
Senator Tariq Azeem is hopeful of becoming Special Assistant to Prime Minister.
Syed Mushahid Hussain, however, has declined the offer saying that he would prefer to serve Pakistan Muslim League as Secretary General.
Meanwhile, hectic lobbying and politics is continuing in Islamabad to get coveted posts.
According to the sources, three groups, including a group from the Siraiki areas, are very active to fetch as many ministerial posts for their group as possible. Bhatti and Gujjar groups are also said to be pursuing their political interests vigorously.
Chaudhris of Gujrat also want to see Wajahat Hussain in the Federal Cabinet after the resignation of Shujaat Hussain as Prime Minister.
Political analysts said that this suspense and lobbying would continue till the names are finalised, as it has become a sort of tradition in our parliamentary politics.
